The Original Star Trek Movies Ranked

Star Trek has not been my favorite science fiction franchise, but Gene Roddenberry left an indelible mark on technology as well as pushing the racial limits of television with its casting.

Keep reading to read our ranking of the four original movies.

I’m a fan of Star Wars over Star Trek, but they are both amazing franchises with great characters.

If I had to pick, Spock is better than Yoda. He’s able to think logically and can perform without emotions. Don’t worry I’ve got nothing but love for Yoda.

Back to Star Trek. The original collection of movies introduced many people to the franchise which helped build it to what it is today.

My ranking of the original Star Trek movies:

Star Trek: Wrath of Kahn (Ricardo Montalban rocks as Kahn)
Star Trek – The original movie needs some love.
Search For Spock (Spock is my favorite character)
Voyages Home – Snoozefest IMO

The recent release of this collection brings with it the first time that they have been presented in 4K.

4K gives the films beautiful color enhancements and some solid sound quality. Like many films, I have issues hearing during the dialogue then my eardrums are blown out during the action scenes.

Here are the special features from the official press release:
