55th Anniversary Star Trek 4 movie 4K Collection

To celebrate the 55th anniversary of the Star Trek franchise, Paramount has released the first four films in 4K Ultra HD.

Newly remastered from the original elements, each film is presented with Dolby Vision and HDR-10. The 4 movie 4K collection comes with Blu-ray discs as well as access to digital copies.

Star Trek: The Motion Picture

Robert Wise’s first entry into the franchise still remains as one of the best. Turning Science Fiction into heady and philosophical themes. A true classic and stunning in 4K.

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan

The sequel does something that most franchises get wrong, it satisfies loyal fans and brings new fans into the fold. This film is a shining example of how a sequel should be. It packs an emotional punch that still works all these years later.

Star Trek III: The Search for Spock

Viewed by some as a misstep in the franchise, this Leonard Nimoy directed sequel still has its heart in the right place and is a worthy entry. Taking place immediately after the events of Khan, the deeper exploration of its characters and themes of loyalty and death are pitch perfect.

Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home

Leonard Nimoy steps back into the director’s chair in what is probably the weakest of the first four films, but is still a huge crowd pleaser. Nostalgia and its vastly different tone have endeared the film to its loyal fan base.
