SUPER 8 looks super awesome (lame, but I had to) in 4K! I remember watching this when I wrote for GeekTyrant and interviewed some of the cast.

I loved it then and love it now. There were so many sounds and elements of the film that I had never noticed until the release of this disc.

The sound mix is a thing of beauty in Dolby True HD. I would have loved the disc to come with Dolby Atmos, but alas it does not.

If you’re looking for a fun movie, lens flares and all, SUPER 8 is the best addition to your collection.

It amazes me that the commentary track has captions. I’m not ashamed to say that I’m losing my heating, so captions are a must for the film but it’s a great bonus for the commentary track.

The special features are extensive. I really enjoyed learning about the making of the film. It was great to hear the story of how JJ Abrams and Steven Spielberg met. You’ll have to watch the feature to see how they meet.

Synopsis:
