The last 10-episodes of Teen Wolf haven’t even hit the air yet and MTV has already announced plans to reboot the show.

According to EW, Showrunner Jeff Davis is in early talks with the network to turn the popular series into an anthology. It worked for FX with American Horror Story, so why not? Arguably, the show already has all the elements of what makes great TV and with the wayward direction series are going in these days, it makes sense. And, anything that keeps Teen Wolf, in some form or another, on the MTV lineup is fine with us.

Chris McCarthy, President of MTV, stated: “These characters and these stories have hit a peak,” he said. “We are talking with Jeff about how do we actually keep that franchise alive. And the beauty of the evolution of media is you can see the series going on through a series of podcasts and then see a resurrection of a new class in a couple years.”

He also made it clear that it would be at least a year before the new show went into production, giving them plenty of time to “find the right story and the right cast.”

Fans of the current cast aren’t completely out of luck though. The network also announced plans for a podcast that will keep the current storyline and characters alive. Fret not, the bromance that is Scott (Tyler Posey) and Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) isn’t over just yet.

The final season of Teen Wolf starts July 30. Will you be watching?
