Tickets For AnimeNYC 2017 Are Now Available For Purchase!
If you haven’t heard, or maybe you have, there will be an anime convention residing back in New York City. We’re almost a year away, but AnimeNYC will bring anime fans and publishers together for three days of unique exhibits, exclusive screenings, extensive panels, and appearances by some of the biggest creators in Japan to the Javits Center November 17 – 19, 2017. As of December 16, you won’t have to wait to purchase tickets to attend. AnimeNYC feels that since New York City is one of the largest cities in America, there should have an anime convention to call it home and they want to be that convention.
AnimeNYC is offering 5 types of tickets. Single days: Friday ($35), Saturday ($45), & Sunday ($40), Weekend ($60), and VIP ($275). With VIP, it doesn’t just provide you with access to the event but autographs, reserved seating, merchandise, and more! VIPs aren’t the only ones who can get perks. Crunchyroll is powering the event so of course they had to hook their subscribers up. First is the $10 discount followed by early access to the exhibit hall, preferred seating, and even more stuff they haven’t announced yet.
To get everyone more hyped for the occasion, they have already announced their first guest. LeSean Thomas, creator, producer, director, & writer of Cannon Busters, is a New York native who has worked on other shows like The Boondocks, The Legend of Korra, Black Dynamite, and an upcoming project with Crunchyroll titled Children of Ether.
I’m personally excited for this. This will allow be to 1. travel, 2. attend a convention (well another one for the year), for 3. anime! As an anime fan, I do not want to miss out on this. I’m making sure nothing gets in my way to attending and reporting back on all the fun they will present. These 11 months of waiting are going to be hard but there are things to prep for to keep our hype in check. Hope you all will attend if you can. Link to get tickets are on the bottom.
