What We Are Excited For At San Diego Comic Con 2016!
It’s time once again for nerds around the counrty and the world to congregate to downtown San Diego for another year of Comic Con action. Cosplayers will take over the Gaslamp District to see some of their favorite actors in person, as well as get never before seen sneak peaks into some of the most eagerly anticipated comic movies coming out soon. Here are a few of the many things we are excited for this weekend.
1. Luke Cage Panel – Thursday 5:45 PM Ballroom 20
Marvel Studios has seen some great success in their Netflix journey so far, with smash hits like Daredevil and Jessica Jones. This fall, they will be debuting another show, Luke Cage. The character first appeared in the first season of Jessica Jones, and Ballroom 20 will be having the cast from the show there. Marvel has yet to take a bad step on the Netflix platform, and Luke Cage certainly looks like another big hit!
2. The Walking Dead Friday 1 PM Hall H
After one of the most talked about season finales in recent memory, Comic Con goers who invade Hall H on Friday will be dying for answers after that incredible cliff hanger. Chris Hardwick will continue his work with The Walking Dead by moderating the panel that will be chalk full of producers and cast members alike. For those who enjoy Fear the Walking Dead as well, that show will have a panel just before this one.
3. South Park Friday 5 PM Hall H
Hall H wraps up their TV filled program schedule on Friday with one of the most popular cartoon shows of all time, South Park! The show will be debuting it’s history 20th season in September, and it will be Chris Hardwick once again leading the way. In addition to the show itself, the new video game South Park: The Fractured But Whole will also be a topic of discussion.
On top of this panel, Comic Con will be hosting a South Park Experience on Thursday and Friday morning at 11 AM.
4. All That Reunion Saturday 11:15 AM
Calling all 90’s kids. Several All That cast members will be reuniting, including Josh Server, Danny Tamberelli, Lori Beth Denberg, and Kel Mitchell. After the reunion, the subject will switch to the upcoming Legends of the Hidden Temple TV movie. Kirk Fogg, the host of the original show in the 90’s, will be in attendence.
5. Hall H All Day Saturday
While teleivision shows will be taking over on Friday, the real big guns will be coming out on Saturday. Panels that will be presented throughout the day are Warner Bros, Star Trek, Women Who Kick Ass, and Marvel. In addition to several prominent cast members attending, studios will also be showing Comic Con goers never before seen footage of some of the most eagerly anticipated movie titles. The night wraps up with the annual Kevin Smith panel, where the king of nerds takes over, taking any and all questions about his life and his work.
