Just in time for ALIEN DAY 2016, Insight Edition is releasing Alien: The Weyland-Yutani Report and it’s glorious.

This hardbound book is actually the trade version of the much prettier, spiffier, Alien: The Weyland-Yutani Report which came with collectible items such as Burke’s calling card and an amazing, detailed slip cover for the book. It is still available and retails for $325.00. You can check out my post of it here if you want to see more details.

As I was saying, for ALIEN DAY 2016, Insight Editions released the hardbound of Alien: The Weyland-Yutani Report and even though this release doesn’t come with the beautifully sculpted slip cover (I’m not kidding guys, it’s amazing!) and the extra collectibles, the book is chalk full of information about everyone’s favorite Xenomorphs.

ALIEN: THE WEYLAND-YUTANI REPORT brings together 35 years of Alien films including Prometheus. They include concept art and stills from the films. They also added new beautiful illustrations made specifically for this book. Any time that I can get new work from a favorite franchise like Alien, I’m all for it.

The book has so much information and goes more into details about the Xenomorphs, the vehicles, the weapons, Weyland-Yutani, the different locations / planets through out the films, everything you wanted to know it’s in this book. The book is set in the Alien universe and it reads as if it’s real and you can come across a Xenomorph at any time.

I was so enthralled by this book. I haven’t finished reading it. There is a lot of information to absorb, so many photos to see, and I’m not joking the illustrations are great. This book comes with 160 pages plus 8 gate-fold pages. It’s worth noting that the spiffy edition has the same amount of pages. Now, 160 pages may not sound like a lot but with the illustrations and all the trivia included, you will get sucked in reading every single line.

As I mentioned, the book is hardcover even though it’s listed as a trade edition, 160 pages + 8 pgs gate-fold, and the paper quality is great. It’s not too glossy but it brings out the work wonderfully. I still tried not to leave too many finger prints.

This book retails for 45 dollars and it’s worth every penny for the ALIEN fan in your life. And just in case you don’t believe me, check out the book trailer the folks at Insight Editions put together!
