STAR WARS THE FORCE AWAKENS Gets the LEGO Video Game Treatment!

I have been waiting for this announcement. TT Games is developing Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens which is set to be released June 28, 2016. Of course, with an announcement of this amazing-ness, a trailer has come attached! We were given a teaser trailer and I am so ready for this game to be here.

LEGO has once again managed to take some serious moments and add some fun elements. You get to see Kylo Ren’s lightsaber malfunction, BB-8 rolls into stuff while trying to roll away from the first order, things not going correctly in Poe’s X-wing. The humor that makes these games so much fun to play is alive and well in LEGO Star Wars The Force Awakens!

We will get the chance to play as our favorite characters from TFA; Rey, Finn, Poe Dameron, Han Solo, Chewbacca, C-3PO and BB-8. I do hope we get a glimpse of General Leia in the game. You can’t have the RESISTANCE without her. For those of you on the Dark Side, don’t worry we will get to also play as the bad guys with Kylo Ren, General Hux and Captain Phasma. Get ready to explore Starkiller Base and Jakku!

I feel bad for those that hate sand. *It’s coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.* (I’m sorry, I had too!)

According to Sony‘s upload of the trailer, the game will have playable content that will bridge the events of Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jed and Star Wars The Force Awakens!

LEGO Star Wars™: The Force Awakens™ marks the triumphant return of the No. 1 LEGO videogame franchise and immerses fans in the new Star Wars adventure like never before. Players can relive the epic action from the blockbuster film in a way that only LEGO can offer, featuring all of the storylines from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, retold through the clever and witty LEGO lens. The game will also feature exclusive playable content that takes players on adventures between Star Wars: Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and Star Wars: The Force Awakens, providing additional insight about the new movie and its characters.

We know how important canon is to Disney when it comes to Star Wars so this is going to be a fun journey to how they will combine both episode 6 and 7!

The LEGO series of video games are one of my favorites ever and of course Star Wars being one of all my time favorites. If you can’t wait for June 28th for The Force Awakens, take a crack at the other LEGO Star Wars games like LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy or LEGO Star Wars The Complete Saga!

Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens is expected to be released on June 28th on 3DS, PS3, PS4, Vita, Wii U, PC, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
