Don’t Call Buttercup A Princess: Sneak Peek Of The Powerpuff Girls

Sugar, spice, and everything nice with a dash of some Chemical X of course is coming back in its form of the Powerpuff Girls. The adorable trio that defeats crime before bedtime is coming back this Spring and Cartoon Network has given us a sneak peek of whats to come. In the 45 second peek, seen below, we get to see Buttercup (the least girly of the three) being called a “princess.” She doesn’t exactly take it so well and does what she does best.

This new Powerpuff Girls series won’t only be bringing us new episodes but also a new cast as our heroines. The new girls are Amanda Leighton as Blossom, Kristen Li as Bubbles, and Natalie Palamides at Buttercup as mentioned back in June 2015.

The original Powerpuff Girls premiered back in 2008 and was created by Craig McCracken. The cast list, then, included Cathy Cavadini, Tara Strong, and E.G. Daily as Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup respectively along with other well know voice actors Tom Kenny, Tom Kane, and  Jennifer Hale.

I for one am excited for the return of the Powerpuff Girls. I’ve became a fan since the pilot episode when Bubbles got half of her hair turned into a piece of meat by Fuzzy Lumpkins and she went ballistic on him. I knew then this show was a winner. I can’t believe that was almost 20 years ago and here it is still as a show that is still admired even among a new generation.

What are your thoughts on the new Powerpuff Girls? Will you be giving this show a chance? Let us know in the comments section.
