BATMAN V SUPERMAN Concept Art Shows Off New Batcave
Entertainment Weekly just will not slow down with the comic book movie sneak peeks! In the latest issue of EW, new Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice concept art surfaces detailing the look and style of Bruce Wayne’s new Batcave.
“[Batman] represents human beings, mortal men,” says Ben Affleck. “In a world of Flashes and Aquamen and Supermen, there needs to be that guy. It’s interesting that he became the leader of the Justice League in the books — I’m not sure how that’ll play out here — but his humanity is also an asset.”
Jeremy Irons, who plays the faithful Alfred Pennyworth in the film, also chimed in to offer an alternative new of his character whom fans have never before really associated with the Caped Crusader’s butler. “Alfred is a lot more hands-on in our film than he has previously been,” Irons says. “He’s a bit of a grease monkey, and he’s very involved in the decisions Bruce makes.”
That makes sense. Alfred is truly the one and only person to influence the Batman. And we know for a fact that Bruce trusts no one as much as he trusts Alfred. So it stands to reason that Batman wouldn’t have some random mechanic lurking around the Batcave, working on the Batmobile while Bruce is away. Is there anything that old sod can’t do?
