If you’re watching the Winter 2015 anime season like I am, you don’t have to wait long to hear what the English dub version will sound like. FUNimation has begun its own feature called Broadcast Dub that will be featuring some of this seasons best shows on their website. The first 3 shows to be featured came out with their English dubs back on Feb. 18th in a special feature called Dubble Talk. It’s FUNimation’s prime time block where these shows (Assassination Classroom, Death Parade, and Tokyo Ghoul √A) air a new dub episode between 8 – 9:30 EST then gets discussed at 9:30 in a live online discussion featuring FUNimation staff Justin Rojas and Lauren Moore along with Chad James of ScrewAttack. Other shows that have been included since then so far are The Rolling Girls, World Break: Aria of Curse for a Holy Swordsman, and Kamisama Kiss Season 2 all of which have their own day and time to catch their English premieres.

Now remember what I said, those were the shows they had so far. March will be bringing more shows from this season with dubs. And with these shows, just like the others, an English cast list will be revealed before their actual premiere dates. The shows to look for in March are: Absolute Duo, Yurikuma Arashi, Yona of the Dawn, and Maria, the Virgin Witch. I know all this information must have excited you but the only way you’ll be able to watch these English dub shows is if you have FUNimation’s All-Access Pass Subscription. They have monthly, tri-monthly, and yearly subscription and the prices for them aren’t bad.

For those wondering about how this will work with what will be on the final DVD?Blu-Ray releases, FUNimation mentions this:

“Following the release of the Broadcast Dub, FUNimation will continue to produce a final English dub for the Blu-ray/DVD release, using materials from Japan’s DVD/Blu-ray release. This final version can be different from the broadcast version, including uncut footage not seen in the broadcast.”

So, will you continue to watch just the sub of this season or try out the new dub as well? Let us know in the comments.
