Oscar Watching: Changing Tides?

This week, we look at how the Broadcast Film Critics Association‘s (BFCA) Critics’ Choice Movie Awards nominations – announced on Monday – might affect the Oscar race. Alejandro González Iñárritu‘s Birdman leads the pack there with 13 nominations; Wes Anderson‘s The Grand Budapest Hotel and Richard Linklater‘s Boyhood follow with 11 and eight bids, respectively. Check out the set of nominees here.
In the name of shameless self-promo, you can check out more detailed Oscar musings over at my blog, Awards and Such. Keep in mind that my predictions there and on Screen Invasion might differ, given that I will update both at different times – I’ll update my Screen Invasion picks once a week; I’ll most likely update my blog picks at different intervals.
