Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo 2014: Artist Spotlight – David Wong

I had the pleasure of walking the Stan Lee Comikaze Expo floor last weekend and was blown away by the amazing booths and vendors at the event. While San Diego Comic Con gets all the guts and glory for being THE con event, oftentimes the smaller artists have to take a back burner to the major studios at play that weekend. While walking the floor, I was drawn to his drawings bringing together a few of my favorite characters including the cast of misfits from The Nightmare Before Christmas, Futurama, Family Guy, Invader Zim, Frozen and more.

While I’d seen him around the various SoCal Cons like Comikaze Expo, Wonder Con, and more, this is the first time I really spent a good chunk of time at his booth – mostly because since Sunday at the Expo was so calm you didn’t need to be constantly moving to keep the crowds at bay. Check out a few of my favorite of his original pieces and be sure to see more on his official site.
