TWIN PEAKS Returning For 3rd Season
We’ve read David Lynch‘s cryptic tweets and finally the curtain has been pulled back! After running for two seasons before ABC cancelled it and 25 years later, cult classic, Twin Peaks, will be returning for a 3rd season on Showtime starting in 2016. The 3rd season will be a limited series and only have 9 episodes, but when dealing with something as great as Twin Peaks, 9 episodes is just enough to satisfy your hunger. Kyle MacLachlan, aka Dale Cooper, while not confirmed, is set to reprise his role while rumors are going around that suggest some other cast members may be making an appearance. And based on the above teaser trailer, you can already tell that it’s hopefully going to stay true to it’s originality. I guess we’ll see!
The groundbreaking television phenomenon, Golden Globe® and Peabody Award-winner TWIN PEAKS will return as a new limited series on SHOWTIME in 2016. Series creators and executive producers David Lynch and Mark Frost will write and produce all nine episodes of the limited series, and Lynch will direct every episode. Set in the present day, TWIN PEAKS will continue the lore of the original series, providing long-awaited answers and a satisfying conclusion for the series’ passionate fan base.
