San Diego: Comic Con’s Gone After 2016?

The San Diego Comic Con has been making a lot waves since their day in court. Following the San Diego City Council’s decision on Tuesday to not appeal a court ruling that would end plans to expand the city’s convention center. Basically, any plans for expanding the convention center has stopped and has put the future and livelihood of SDCC into question.

The project would have cost about $520 million. Although the council adamant about the expansion, the hold up is causing speculation about Comic Con’s relocation.

Of course, if moving is inevitable, there’s always L.A. or Anaheim…

However with the loss of Comic Con, San Diego will be losing a huge profit ($180 million). Oh we’ll, surely other takers will be happy to have the money (because that’s what it really comes down to).
