Mill Creek Entertainment has released a new version of Last Action Hero on Blu-ray. Sadly there isn’t anything new and the disc features zero special features. Click play above to listen to my full audio review.

Last Action Hero is directed by John McTiernan and stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Austin O’Brien, Robert Prosky, F. Murray Abraham, Art Carney, Charles Dance, Frank McRae, Tom Noonan, Anthony Quinn, and Mercedes Ruehl.

Young Danny Madigan is a big fan of Jack Slater, a larger-than-life action hero played by Arnold Schwarzenegger. When his best friend, Nick the projectionist, gives him a magic ticket to the new Jack Slater film, Danny is transported into Slater’s movie world, where the good guys always win. One of Slater’s enemies, Benedict the Hitman, gets hold of the ticket and ends up in Danny’s real world, where he realises that if he can kill Arlnold Schwarzenegger, Slater will be no more. Slater and Danny must travel back and stop him.

Watch the trailer below:

Official Synopsis:

Arnold Schwarzenegger is movie idol Jack Slater in Last Action Hero, which follows the adventures of 11-year-old Danny (Austin O’Brien), whose magic ticket blasts him out of his theater seat and into an action movie. There he teams up with Slater, living his wildest fantasies in a celluloid world where anything is possible.

I give this Blu-ray a 3 out of 5 stars. You can buy it on Amazon.
