The 2014 Adult Swim Singles Series is Underway

I know, we’re a little behind here, but the important thing is there’s new, free music for you on, and we know you need to know it.

The Adult Swim Singles series, once the Adult Swim Singles Program, is an annual series of free music that good ol’ Williams Street puts out every single summer. They started in 2010, and ever since, they’ve had bigger lists and bigger names with artists like Autre Ne Veut, Run The Jewels, Lightning Bolt, Death Grips, Dan Deacon, LCD Soundsystem, Madvillain, Black Lips, Best Coast, Mastodon, How to Dress Well, El-P, Clams Casino, The Hives, Wye Oak, Com Truise, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and Wavves each summer providing new music to cool you down while it’s super hot out there.

This year is no different, as Swim is providing a whole new summer soundtrack with a list of artists that sounds pretty damn good. We’re already in week 2, with new stuff from Machinedrum and the legendary Giorgio Moroder already unleashed upon the public. You can go get yours by clicking these words here.

Here’s the calendar for the summer for the series that will run until September 22nd, via

  • June 9th – Giorgio Moroder
  • June 16th – Machinedrum
  • June 23rd – Destruction Unit
  • July 4th – Fatima Al-Qadiri
  • July 7th – Tim Hecker
  • July 14th – Speedy Ortiz
  • July 21st – Sleep
  • July 28th – Future
  • August 4th – Diarrhea Planet
  • August 11th – Oozing Wound
  • August 18th – Captain Murphy
  • August 25th – Deafheaven
  • September 1st – RP Boo
  • September 8th – Mastodon Feat. Gibby Haynes
  • September 15th – Run The Jewels
  • September 22nd – KA

There is a LOT to be excited about here. Mastodon has a new LP out soon entitled “Once More ‘Round The Sun” which you can currently preorder and stream on iTunes. This’ll be a bit of a bonus on September 8th. Captain Murphy, Flying Lotus’ bizarre rap alias, makes an appearance for the third summer in a row. Deafheaven pops in after releasing Sunbather last summer, an incredible album you can stream and buy over on the band’s Bandcamp. More new Run The Jewels should be a welcome sight to anyone. Sleep rules. Diarrhea Planet is a band to check out if you haven’t, because they’re fun as hell. There’s a ton of music coming at you, and you should be super hyped.

Go get some free music over here. If you missed any other years, you can also check ’em out: 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010.

How could you turn down free stuff? That’s right, you can’t. Go get it.
