PS Plus: Free Games for July Announced

The free games offered to PS Plus members for the month of July have been announced. July marks the final implementation of changes to the Instant Game Collection announced by Sony. Six games will be available for download on July 1 until the end of the month–two games for each PlayStation platform.

TowerFall Ascension and Strider are the games offered for PlayStation 4. TowerFall Ascension is an archery combat game that embraces couch multiplayer, a rare sight in gaming nowadays.  Double Helix’s Strider brings back a classic Capcom character in a new side-scrolling action adventure in a large connected world.

Games offered for PlayStation 3 are Dead Space 3 and VesselDead Space 3 dumps Issac Clarke on the frozen planet of Tau Volantis, where you can enjoy the sci-fi action horror with a friend or alone with seamless drop in, drop out co-op. Vessel is “an optimized liquid simulation featuring flowing water, scalding lava and steam, reactant chemicals, glowing goo, the mysterious ‘protoplasm’, and more.”

The PS Vita will get Muramasa Rebirth and Doki-Doki Universe. Vanillaware’s Muramasa Rebirth is an action RPG updated from the original Muramasa: The Demon Blade released on the Wii. Doki-Doki Universe lets you “embark on a journey with QT3 to discover humanity and engage with bizarre characters to learn more about them, and hopefully, learn more about yourself along the way.”
