GameInvasion Podcast – Episode 13 – Naughty or Nice

This week on GameInvasion, Carl Wilhoyte and Nick Hammer tackle the murky moral depths of morality systems in games such as Mass Effect, Skyrim, Spec Ops: The Line, and the new Watch Dogs. You can also listen to Carl raise holy hell over uPlay’s login woes and Watch Dogs pathetic PC optimization, and get to hear an eerily accurate impression of what uPlay might sound like if you were forced to drag it along on a hot date with you and Steam.
Direct morality systems in games are a relatively recent invention, and some games do it better than others. Some split it down the middle into a black/white dynamic, but other games take a more subtle, nuanced look at how characters interact with each other. Yes, they’re digital pixels on a screen, but that doesn’t diminish our reactions to potentially sticky dramatic moments. Get sticky with us on episode 13 of GameInvasion: Naughty or Nice!
