E3 2014: UNCHARTED 4 Announced for 2015
Say what you will about Sony’s press conference at E3 2014, but it ended on a strong note with the reveal trailer of Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. Fans streaming around the world squee’d long and joyously.
As you’ll see in the teaser trailer above, Nathan Drake wakes up battered and bruised on a riverbank. His and Sully’s conversation going in the background, Nathan slowly stumbles upward and disappears into the jungle. Then the camera pans over to a clearing filled with long dead bodies trapped in hanging gibbet cages. Yesssss, we’re off to steal some pirate treasure, aren’t we?
Nothing else is known at this time other than the official synopsis posted below other than the fact that The Last of Us creators, Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley are heading up Drake’s newest adventure after the sudden departures of writer Amy Hennig and game director Justin Richmond.
Several years after his last adventure, retired fortune hunter, Nathan Drake, is forced back into the world of thieves. With the stakes much more personal, Drake embarks on a globe-trotting journey in pursuit of a historical conspiracy behind a fabled pirate treasure. His greatest adventure will test his physical limits, his resolve, and ultimately what he’s willing to sacrifice to save the ones he loves.
