Marvel Planning Another HULK Movie, Ferrigno Says
A month ago, we learned just how ambitious Marvel Studios really is about their cinematic universe. Kevin Feige is in for the long haul when he told Business Week that the plan currently laid out stretches all the way to 2028. “It’s like looking through the Hubble telescope,” he tells Devin Leonard, “You go, ‘What’s happening back there? I can sort of see it.’ They printed out a new one recently that went to 2028.” There are a lot of chances for new characters to make their debut from now until then, and for some to make multiple returns. One such return could actually be The Incredible Hulk.
While talking to a local radio station in Minnesota, Lou Ferrigno (aka the original Hulk) stated that Marvel plans to do another solo film featuring the temperamental green giant. “Now because he saved the day,” says Ferrigno, “they’re making another solo Hulk movie after the second Avengers comes out.”
Ferrigno further went on to reveal that Hulk will definitely return for Avengers: Age of Ultron, the actor reprising his voice acting role like he did in The Incredible Hulk and in The Avengers.
So what more do they have to tell about the Hulk? Most non-Hulk comic book readers know little about him past his “HULK SMASH!” modus operandi. With the cinematic universe emerging to outer space, however, they could pull elements from Planet Hulk. Hey, maybe we’ll even get to She-Hulk, or even Red Hulk if all goes well. But before any of that can happen, we need to see a buddy flick with Tony Stark. They teased us in Avengers and now we must have more!
