DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES Trailer Brings the War to You
The second Dawn of the Planet of the Apes trailer has finally arrived, giving us a more in-depth look at just how awesome this is going to be.
The story takes place in San Francisco 10 years after the initial outbreak at the end of Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Two factions are divided by the Golden Gate Bridge: the humans are left scattered and left to fend for themselves in the city ruins while the apes continue to thrive in the Muir Woods. There’s unrest and paranoia among some of the humans in San Francisco, endangering the already rocky fragile they have with the apes.
Caesar isn’t taking any more crap from the humans threatening his family, so he takes the war to them.
This is the summer movie to look forward to. Rise was such a powerfully emotional origin story for Caesar, who became a revolutionary to his species. Now in Dawn, he’s become a leader tasked with protecting his people and his family. The climactic fight on the bridge in the previous film was so awesome, you cringed with excitement. Now the fight looks to become even bigger. We can already see ourselves sitting on the edge of our seats in the theater.
The film is directed by Matt Reeves and stars Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Judy Greer, and Kodi Smit-McPhee.
