5 Facts You May Not Know About CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER’S Anthony Mackie

Captain America is back dominating the box office and this time he’s got Falcon, played by Anthony Mackie, helping him out. Anthony Mackie is now definitely going to become a household name and does quite a marvelous job as Falcon/Sam Wilson in the sequel. Does he seem familiar? Think you’ve seen him in another film? Chances are you might have, because he’s got a nice resume! Below are a few facts about him that you may not know:

1. He starred as Tupac Shakur in 2009’s Notorious.

2. He graduated from Juilliard’s School’s Drama Division as a member of Group 30 along with Lee Pace.

3. His first portrayal of Tupac Shakur was actually in an Off-Off-Broadway show, while still at Juilliard, called Up Against The Wind.

4. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana

5. A few more film’s he’s been in: The Hurt Locker, Pain & Gain, What’s Your Number?, Eagle Eye, We Are Marshall, Ascension Day, Gangster Squad, Real Steel, 10 Years, The Adjustment Bureau, Runner Runner, and The Fifth Estate to name a few.

He’s going to be in more films coming this year and next year like: A Many Splintered Thing (2014), Shelter (2014), Repentance (2014), and Triple Nine (2015). He’s probably going to be in more Captain America/ Marvel films as Falcon, or at least I along with the rest of the world hope he will. He’s a talented actor who is making his presence in the industry known.
