A film that will remain in history forever. Brilliant performances all around and plenty of nominations including Michael, Lupita and Chiwetel getting nominations for their work in the film. The brilliantly done sequel to the first film. It was one of those rare sequels that is just as good and maybe even slightly better than the original one. Read our review of the film here. Also, check out our book VS film post! It’s available on Blu-Ray/DVD Combo Pack and DVD at Amazon.

inside llewyn davis

  • Inside Llewyn Davis, (starring Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Justin Timberlake, Jerry Grayson, Robin Bartlett, Max Casella, Adam Driver, Ethan Phillips, Jeanine Serralles, Garrett Hedlund, and more). This film garnered a lot of award nominations and buzz, but the lead of the film Oscar Isaac was snubbed as well as The Coen brothers for Oscars. Read our review of the film here. It’s available on Blu-Ray and DVD at Amazon.
  • Out of the Furnace, (starring Christian Bale, Zoe Saldana, Woody Harrelson, Sam Shepard, Willem Dafoe, Casey Affleck, Boyd Holbrook, Forest Whitaker, and more). • American Hustle, (starring Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, Jennifer Lawrence, Louis C.K., Jack Huston, Michael Pena, Alessandro Nivola, Elisabeth Rohm, and more). It’s available on Blu-Ray/DVD Combo Pack and DVD at Amazon.

It’s available on Blu-Ray and DVD at Amazon.
  • Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, (starring Idris Elba, Naomie Harris, Tony Kgoroge, Riaad Moosa, Fana Mokoena, Robert Hobbs, Jamie Bartlett, Lindiwe Matshikiza, Terry Pheto, Deon Lotz, and more). Many feel Idris Elba and Naomie Harris could of gotten Oscar nominations for their great performances. The film did get nominations during awards season.
