SYNOPSIS: Share the laughter, love and surprises as Harper (Taye Diggs), Lance (Morris Chestnut), Quentin (Terrence Howard), Jordan (Nia Long), Robyn (Sanaa Lathan), Mia (Monica Calhoun), Murch (Harold Perrineau), Candy (Regina Hall) and Shelby (Melissa De Sousa) all reunite for the first time in years. As they share their triumphs and tragedies, these college friends soon discover how easy it is to reignite long-forgotten rivalries and romances—all while new discoveries are made and secrets are revealed.

Whether between friends or lovers, relationships are rarely easy. We take things and people for granted. We take a stand and fight. And we forget just how right Chicago was: It is hard to say “I’m sorry.” Far too often we also forget that friends and lovers are the ones we should run toward—not away from—when the going gets tough. The Best Man Holiday, the long-awaited sequel to writer/director Malcolm D. Lee‘s 1999 classic romantic dramedy The Best Man, follows nine reunited friends as they strive to repair damaged relationships and to truly forgive what they can’t forget.

The Best Man Holiday’s immensely talented cast excels in its candid portrayal of friendship and love. From tears of laughter and sadness, to anger, absurdity and absolution, each actor’s unique contribution to the well-balanced ensemble is laden with lifelike sincerity. The cast’s camaraderie is believable to the point of inviting envy. A promotional sweepstakes promising the winner a night out with this cast would undoubtedly have gone like gangbusters. And few among us fans would not have trampled friends and family for a live “air band” performance by Morris Chestnut, Taye Diggs, Terrence Howard, and Harold Perrineau.

With exclusive Blu-ray bonus features (in addition to those available on DVD), The Best Man Holiday Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack provides a hilariously comprehensive viewing experience—including an alternate ending, 19 deleted/extended scenes (totaling an extra 25 minutes of Best Man Holiday goodness), and a blow-by-blow making-of featurette on the infamous fight scene. Don’t have a Blu-ray player? Don’t worry: The Best Man Holiday on DVD includes a gag reel, a making-of featurette, and feature commentary by Lee.

The Best Man Holiday on Blu-ray/DVD is a must-own for franchise fans (who are, doubtlessly, already anxiously awaiting a third installment) and all who just love a well-made and eminently rewatchable dramedy.
