Most Anticipated Films of 2014

It’s a new year and that means a whole big batch of new movies! 2014 is shaping out to be quite a year in films with a wide variety of realizes that are sure to make any film lover excited! I’ve compiled a list of a few movies that seem to be getting the most buzz! There are films that I might miss, but if you think I’ve missed something, leave a comment in the comments section below!


The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1

Directed by: Francis Lawrence
Starring: Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Sam Claflin, Natalie Dormer, Julianna Moore, Jena Malone, Lily Rabe, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Elden Henson, Robert Knepper, Stef Dawson, Mahershala Ali, Evan Ross,Wes Chatham and more..

Katniss Everdeen reluctantly becomes the symbol of a mass rebellion against the autocratic Capitol.

It’s part 1 of what will be an epic conclusion to the Hunger Games trilogy that has captivated many people all over the world. The sequel was done wonderfully, so part 1 and 2 are sure to be as wonderfully done.






Captain America: The Winter Solider

Directed by: Anthony and Joe Russo
Starring: Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Emily VanCamp, Robert Redford, Samuel L. Jackson, Hayley Atwell, Sebastian Stan, Dominic Cooper, Anthony Mackie, Frank Grillo, Toby Jones, Garry Shandling, Georges St-Pierre and more.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier will pick-up where Marvel’s The Avengers left off, as Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and teams up with Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, to battle a powerful yet shadowy enemy in present-day Washington, D.C.

Judging by the trailers that have been released, it looks like it’ll be even better than the first one!




The Grand Budapest Hotel

Directed by: Wes Anderson
Starring: Saoirse Ronan, Lea Seydoux, Ralph Fiennes, Jude Law, Edward Norton, Tilda Swinton, Bill Murray, Adrien Brody, Owen Wilson, Jason Schwartzman, Willem Dafoe, F. Murray Abraham, Harvey Keitel, Tom Wilkinson, Jeff Goldblum, and more.

The adventures of Gustave H, a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel between the wars, and Zero Moustafa, the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend.

Wes Anderson’s films are always awesome. This cast is brilliant. Judging by the trailer, it seems like it’ll be another Wes Anderson masterpiece.



Guardians of the Galaxy

X-Men: Days of Future Past

The X-Men send Wolverine to the past in a desperate effort to change history and prevent an event that results in doom for both humans and mutants.

It’s shaping out to be quite an epic film! Everyone is waiting patiently for this one.

A terminally ill scientist downloads his mind into a computer. This grants him power beyond his wildest dreams, and soon he becomes unstoppable.

Wally Pfister has been working with Christopher Nolan for what feels like forever, so to see him venture out and direct what looks like a complex and awesome film is exciting!

Starring: Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Casey Affleck, Michael Caine, Jessica Chastain, Topher Grace, Wes Bentley, Mackenzie Foy, John Lithgow, Ellen Burstyn, David Oyelowo, and more.

A group of explorers make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.

Christopher Nolan is back for what will likely be another brilliant film! The cast is absolutely fantastic and the storyline seems like something we aren’t used to seeing Nolan take on.

Beatrice Prior, a teenager with a special mind, finds her life threatened when an authoritarian leader seeks to exterminate her kind in her effort to seize control of their divided society.

Based on the world wide bestseller, this is sure to be a huge hit with those who have read the trilogy. It’s a great trilogy and the story is pretty awesome. Here’s to a well adapted film, because in my opinion this seems like a hard book to make into a movie.
