DIVERGENT Trailer Debuts During VMA Pre-Show

Following in the footsteps of The Hunger Games, Veronica Roth’s dystopian young adult novel Divergent is getting the feature film treatment and a new trailer just debuted during the MTV Video Music Award pre-show. Showing the scary world where everyone is divvied up in to factions based on a single personality trait, the trailer highlights how dangerous it can be if you fail to fall neatly in place.

Official Synopsis:

DIVERGENT is a thrilling action-adventure set in a future world where people are divided into distinct factions based on their personalities. Tris Prior (Woodley) is warned she is Divergent and will never fit into any one group. When she discovers a conspiracy to destroy all Divergents, she must find out what makes being Divergent so dangerous before it’s too late. DIVERGENT is based on the best-selling book series by Veronica Roth.
