John Williams Confirmed for STAR WARS VII

John Williams has been confirmed to score Star Wars VII. Earlier we reported that Williams was interested, and now Lucasfilm has announced that he will return for Star Wars: Episode VII. Kathleen Kennedy announced the news at Star Wars Celebration Europe. Williams has worked on each of the Star Wars films, so it makes sense to have him back. I could not imagine anyone else scoring the film.  He has worked on films such as E.T, the Indiana Jones films, and most recently Lincoln.

The new Star Wars is set for a 2015 release date. Director J.J. Abrams, screenwriter Michael Arndt, and consultants Lawrence Kasdan and Simon Kinberg are devoting their efforts to live-up to the expectations of Star Wars fans worldwide.
