I smell an Oscar nomination and probably win for Meryl Streep! August: Osage County is directed by John Wells with writing by Tracy Letts and stars Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep, Benedict Cumberbatch, Margo Martindale, Chris Cooper, Sam Shepard, Misty Upham, Abigail Breslin, and Dermot Mulroney.

August: Osage County Official Synopsis:

Based on the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award®-winning play by Tracy Letts, “August: Osage County” tells the dark, hilarious and deeply touching story of the strong-willed women of the Weston family, whose lives have diverged until a family crisis brings them back to the Midwest house they grew up in, and to the dysfunctional woman who raised them. Letts’ play made its Broadway debut in December 2007 after premiering at Chicago’s legendary Steppenwolf Theatre earlier that year. It continued with a successful international run.

I will probably be seeing this once it comes out! I really love the cast they put together for this film. It’s also quite nice seeing Benedict Cumberbatch among this cast! It’ll be in theaters on November 8, 2013. Will you be seeing it? Have you seen the play this film is based on? What do you think about this first trailer for the film and the awesome cast?
