David Fincher Directing Justin Timberlake/Jay-Z “Suit & Tie” Video

The Playlist is reporting that none other than Mr. Social Network himself, David Fincher, is directing the music video for “Suit & Tie”, the first single from Justin Timberlake’s upcoming FutureSex/LoveSounds follow-up, The 20/20 Experience20/20 is the first pop album from Timberlake in seven years, and he’s rolling out the big guns to get him back into the chart-topping status he left to pursue a career in such classic films as Black Snake Moan and In Time (wait a second…).

For those of you who have been living under a rock for the past two weeks, “Suit & Tie” also features a guest spot from Jay-Z. Followers of Fincher’s career know that his early days consisted of creating such memorable MTV mainstays as Madonna’s “Vogue” and Aerosmith’s “Janie’s Got a Gun” (which, despite the song being awful, is a damn cool video). Production on the clip began a week ago and, while there are no official confirmations as to what its content will be, set photos reveal that everyone is at least appropriately dressed to the nines.

The 20/20 Experience will drop March 19. I’m sure we’ll hear plenty more from the hype machine between now and then but, in the meantime, jam your face off to “Suit & Tie“. While I love Timberlake’s acting (no sarcasm at all), there’s no arguing that “bonafide pop star” is the man’s true calling.
