WORLD OF WARCRAFT Movie Lands on the Moon With Duncan Jones

The World of Warcraft movie has found it’s director. THR reports that Duncan Jones (Source Code, Moon) will helm the film for Legendary Pictures. World of Warcraft is one of the most popular online role-playing games. It is nice mix of fantasy and science fiction, which helps gain so many addicted gamers. Charles Leavitt penned the script, but so far there are no details available.

I loved Duncan Jones’ previous movies, and am excited to see what he can do with such a large budget. Legendary is budgeting this video game adaptation at about $100 million. Jones’ past movies cost a lot less, with Source Code being filmed on just a $35 million budget. Filming is currently slated to begin in 2013 for a 2015 release date.
