Watch: All Trailers Have Been “Incepted” With The INCEPTION Noise

The influence of Christopher Nolan continues to show. Earlier this week, Screen Rant did an interesting editorial on how films like Skyfall and Star Trek 2 are largely influenced by The Dark Knight Trilogy and Christopher Nolan’s other major blockbusters. He’s allowed for more conceptual, thought-provoking storylines to be a part of popcorn blockbusters, and for that I am so very grateful. However, his trailer for Inception may be his lasting legacy if the studios keep using that sound! It’s the first thing I noticed in the Star Trek Into Darkness teaser trailer and it’s been in nearly every film’s trailer since it hit it big. Don’t believe me? Watch this handy supercut, found on io9.

Do you recognize all the films included? I saw John Carter, Prometheus, Battleship, G.I. Joe and Star Trek Into Darkness just to name a few.

With a soft spot for movies that fall into the “So Bad They’re Good” category, Kristal Bailey regularly watches B-movies, 80s comedies, and sci-fi from the 50s and 60s. She also refuses to grow up if that means she has to hide her love for Disney and Pixar films.

In her free time, she enjoys reading graphic novels or books that are soon to be turned into movies, watching hours and hours of television, and spending way too much time on Twitter.
