Screen Invasion Invades the 3rd Annual Telluride Horror Show

The hardworking staff at Screen Invasion is delighted to announce its sponsorship of the 3rd annual Telluride Horror Show, a three-day horror film festival held in lovely Telluride, Colorado, that begins TODAY!

Founded by horror film fan and Telluride resident Ted Wilson, the Telluride Horror Show screens a devilish variety of horror and genre films at Telluride’s historic Sheridan Opera House and Nugget Theater. Past years’ screenings included the US premieres of Monster Brawl and The Scarlet Worm, while director Tom Holland, producer Jon Davison, and the production team of Australian found footage horror The Tunnel (director Carlo Ledesma and producers Enzo Tedeschi and Julian Harvey), among others, have visited the festival as special guests.

This will also be the second year that intrepid Screen Invasion writer Gabriel Ruzin (yours truly) will serve as co-host of the festival. Gabriel will introduce screenings and perform on-stage Q&A’s with film guests while spreading the good word about Screen Invasion. In addition, throughout the festival’s three-day duration (as well as briefly following it), loyal Screen Invasion readers can watch this space for Gabriel’s special THS film reviews. Stay tuned!

Visit www.telluridehorrorshow.com for a list of this year’s films, scheduled screening times, ticket information, and special events and guests.

Gabriel is a genre film lover, giddy in the presence of beauty and awesomeness, cranky in the presence of artless junk. His first movie memory is watching Khan die in STAR TREK II as a 4-year-old (true story). Gabriel started his online writing 'career' a few years back on a WP blog before graduating to writing for a few bonafide movie sites, including serving as an editor for two. The Coen brothers, Terry Gilliam, and David Fincher are among his favorite directors. He co-hosted the Telluride Horror Show in 2011, 2012, and will host again in 2013.
