Ryan Gosling to write and direct HOW TO CATCH A MONSTER with Christina Hendricks

After a terrific year that saw him make the leap to international stardom, Ryan Gosling is making the transition to working behind the camera. The Drive and Crazy, Stupid, Love actor will write and direct his very first feature film with How To Catch A Monster, casting Christina Hendicks in the lead role.

The film will tell the fantasy story of a single mother whose son discovers a secret road leading to an underwater town, sweeping her into a dark realm of the unknown. It will be produced by Mark Platt and Adam Seigel who also produced the aforementioned Drive and starred Hendricks in a supporting role.

There is currently no news on when Gosling will shoot the film. However, if the actor can compel us with his directorial vision as much as he can with his performances, this should be one to keep a very close eye on. Especially when it comes from the team behind Drive, a film we absolutely adored!
