First Look: Russell Crowe in Darren Aronofsky’s NOAH

Thanks to USA Today we have our first look at Russell Crowe as Noah in director Darren Aronofsky’s passion project Noah. This movie has been floating around in Aronofsky’s mind since he was a teenager, so I hope it turns out well. The supporting cast includes, Jennifer ConnellyAnthony Hopkins, Ray Winstone, Douglas Booth, Emma Watson and Logan Lerman.

Noah  is a close adaptation of the Biblical story of Noah’s Ark. In a world ravaged by human sin, Noah is given a divine mission: to build an Ark to save creation from the coming flood. Aronofsky and Ari Handel wrote the screenplay, which was revised by Academy Award®-nominated screenwriter John Logan (Hugo, Gladiator).

Stay tuned to Aronofsky’s Twitter account for the latest on Noah, which opens in theaters on March 28th, 2014. Do you think this is a movie you want to check out?
