SDCC ’12: KÀ by Cirque du Soleil Gets Its Own Comic Book

The resident production of KÀ by Cirque du Soleil at MGM Grand in Las Vegas and Marvel Entertainment introduced KÀ #1, an all-new custom comic book to fans at Comic-Con 2012 in San Diego. Fans were able to get up close and pose for photos with KÀ artists, receive signature KÀ airbrushed tattoos and take home their very own copy of the comic book: KÀ #1. Stars from “Item 47” Marvel’s short film, Jesse Bradford and Lizzy Caplan, stopped by the Marvel Booth and met fans and characters from KÀ.
Also in the Marvel Booth at Comic-Con….Cirque du Soleil makeup artist Kathleen Price painted a full “Red-Eyed Spearman” look on Marvel Editor Nick Lowe as part of a makeup demonstration for fans. The day capped off with KÀ artists judging the Marvel costume contest and choosing the Iron Man contestant as the Grand Prize Winner.
