David Cronenberg’s COSMOPOLIS Trailer

David Cronenberg (The Fly, A History of Violence, Eastern Promises) directed and adapted the screenplay for the upcoming film, Cosmopolis, from the popular novel by Don DeLillo. Robert Pattinson stars as a 28-year-old mult-billionaire who is on a days length journey to get a haircut. Seriously, that’s the mission is here. He rides around Manhattan in his limo for 24 hours in search for a haircut but along the way there are many distractions and detours. The trailer makes it look pretty slick and dramatic but from reviews I’ve read from it’s premier at Cannes, it disappoints in a few ways. The film also stars Sarah Gadon, Kevin Durand, Jay Baruchel, Samantha Morton, Juliette Binoche, Paul Giamatti, and Mathieu Amalric with a limited release August 17. Check out the trailer below.

Riding across Manhattan in a stretch limo in order to get a haircut, a 28-year-old billionaire asset manager’s day devolves into an odyssey with a cast of characters that start to tear his world apart.
