Horror Film V/H/S Gets First Poster

V/H/S is a horror anthology of sorts that received great reviews at both the Sundance Film Festival and at SXSW this year. Luckily, the film was picked up by Magnolia Films for distribution and will be released later this year. I did not get a chance to check this film out at SXSW but luckily it was also playing at the Nashville Film Festival (I live in Nashville) so I was able to see it there. Let me be clear, I am not a fan of the horror genre which definitely makes me sound lame but I do still see a decent amount of the films in said genre. I really enjoyed this particular horror film. Yes, it scared the begeezus out of me but it was a fun ride all the same.

A trailer has not been released for this found footage horror film even though I wish there was so I could share with you just how truly terrifying this movie is. Luckily, we now have a badass poster for the film which is featured below. The first thing I noticed on this poster was my birthday written on one of the tapes that appear to be on a shelving unit. Super creepy.

A POV, found footage horror film from the perspective of America’s top genre filmmakers. A group of misfits are hired by an unknown third party to burglarize a desolate house in the countryside and acquire a rare tape. Upon searching the house, the guys are confronted with a dead body, a hub of old televisions and an endless supply of cryptic footage, each video stranger than the last. – IMDB
