I know what everyone is thinking: another Step Up movie.  That was everyone’s reaction to it, only the tones are different. For some its “…..really….ANOTHER Step Up Movie?” These are the purist who thought that the movie that was Channing Tatum‘s big break is the only good one and the rest have been unnecessary.  Then there are the people who are going….”OMG another Step Up movie!!!” I’m one of those people. I’m super excited for this, and after the greatness of Step Up 3D, I have high expectations. Check out the trailer below.

It looks like the dancing is going south to Miami, where a dance troupe is taking over the internet world with their impromptu dance performances. The one that I think looks best is the Flash Mob in the suits. That looks awesome. Of course we have some So You Think You Can Dance alums in the movie. Twitch is back, and I’m assuming he’s repirsing his role from Step Up 3. Twitch is always my favorite, so I’m super excited to see more of him. I also saw Jose from Season 7, as well as Legacy I believe from Season 6 .

But the big star is Kathryn McCormick, who took 3rd place in Season 6, and has come back as an all-star n the show. I knew that she was going to be in this, but I did not know she was going to be the lead. I’ll be very interested to see how she holds up. Her acting looks decent in the trailer. Speaking of the trailer, we see that there is going to be an interesting villain in this movie. For the first time that I can recall in any dance movie, the villain is not a rival dance crew.  Instead its a business tycoon who is looking to take over the Miami strip and build a giant hotel, putting everyone’s homes and jobs in jeopardy. Now, they must fight for their block: with dance! I know, it sounds cheesy, but I’m excited. Sue me.

Overall, I’m intrigued. I want to know what that giant robot thing is that says “we aren’t for sale.” That looks pretty cool. And I’m very curious to see what the ending is going to be. Usually, its the big dance battle against their rivals, but they won’t have that in this one. It will be tough to live up to Step Up 3D, but I have faith that some of the moves and tricks are going to blow our minds again. You can check out the official poster for the movie below.

What do you think of the trailer and poster? Are you excited for it? Do you think they’ve made one too many Step Up movies? Let us know in the comments!
