Blu-ray and DVD

It’s that time again: another weekly DVD/Blu-Ray Roundup!  Here are the new releases for the week and my opinion on whether you should Skip It! Rent It! or Buy It!

The big releases for this week are definitely Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close and A Dangerous Method. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close received Oscar nominations and the films young lead Thomas Horn won many awards for his wonderful performance in the film. A Dangerous Method garnered a lot of nominations on different award shows which included a Golden Globe nomination for Viggo Mortensen.

And as usual please don’t hesitate to share what DVDs and Blu-Rays you’ve bought recently, or plan to buy this week, in the comments.  Let everyone know what you think should be bought or skipped!

  1. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, (starring Thomas Horn, Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock, John Goodman, Max Von Sydow, and Viola Davis), DVD and Blu-Ray. Great film and great cast. Must have. Also, read the book!
  2. A Dangerous Method, (starring Viggo Mortensen, Keira Knightley, Michael Fassbender, and Vincent Cassel), DVD and Blu-Ray. It’s a dangerously great film.
  3. South Park: The Complete Fifteenth Season, DVD and Blu-Ray. It’s South Park… who doesn’t love South Park?
