THE KILLERS to release new album this year
THE KILLERS frontman Brandon Flowers confirmed last night, during an interview with BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe, that they will be releasing their fourth studio album sometime within the next 12 months, but “it’s just whether it’s [released in] the summer time or the winter time”.
The new album will be the follow-up to 2008’s “Day & Age”, which failed to reach the same levels of critical acclaim received for their first two albums, “Hot Fuss” and “Sam’s Town”. Flowers has since embarked upon a solo project, releasing the album “Flamingo” in 2010, but said “it’s just exciting getting everyone in the room to make some noise”.
In addition to releasing a new album, they are also heavily rumoured to be returning to the festival circuit this year, with a headline slot at at least one UK festival.
