Jay-Z Drops a New Song about his Daughter
You’ve probably have already heard that hip-hop’s ‘It’ couple had their first child over the weekend. Beyonce and Jay-Z welcomed their baby girl, Blue Ivy, on Saturday. Since then, the internet has been buzzing with congratulations for the growing, Carter family. Little Blue Ivy is already receiving love from stars like “Aunty Rih” (Rihanna) to Gwyneth Paltrow.
Today, Life and Times posted a new track by Jay that was inspired by his new bundle-of-joy. “Glory” featuring B.I.C is one of Jay’z most emotional songs to date and even features the cries of a newborn in the background. “Baby, I paint the sky Blue” he raps over a simple beat. The song also talks about a “miscarriage” which is the first, deep glimpse into Jay and Beyonce’s, usually very private, life together.
There is no doubt that Blue Ivy Carter will continue to inspire her father and mother’s lyrics in the future. With this track, we see the usually explicit MC in a vulnerable light -and he couldn’t sound happier.
