BLACK GOLD international trailer

An international trailer for director Jean-Jacques Annaud’s Black Gold has it the web via YouTube. This film boast’s a pretty decent cast with Antonio Banderas, Tahar Rahim, Mark Strong, and Freida Pinto. The film doesn’t yet have a US distributor but hopes are high for a 2012 US release.

Set in the 1930s Arab states at the dawn of the oil boom, the story centers on a young Arab prince torn between allegiance to his conservative father and modern, liberal father-in-law.

It seems odd seeing Mark Strong in a non-villain role but the trailer looks pretty decent. Let’s hope we can report news of a distributor for the film in the coming weeks.
