SALMON FISHING IN THE YEMEN gets a nice trailer

The trailer for SALMON FISHING IN THE YEMEN was recently released via Yahoo. The film comes from director Lasse Hallström who is known for directing CHOCOLAT, WHAT’S EATING GILBERT GRAPE, and THE CIDER HOUSE RULES. The film stars Emily Blunt, Ewan McGregor, Kristin Scott Thomas, and Amr Waked. Ewan McGregor’s character is a fisheries scientist in Great Britain who is enlisted to find a way to get Salmon to survive in desert rivers in Yemen. Here is the description from Yahoo:

“A visionary sheik has a big dream — to bring salmon fishing to the desert. Willing to spare no expense, he instructs his representative to turn his dream into reality, an extraordinary feat that will require the involvement of Britain’s leading fisheries expert who happens to think the project both absurd and unachievable. That is, until the Prime Minister’s overzealous press secretary latches on for its potential as a ‘good will’ story. Now, this unlikely team will put it all on the line and embark on an upstream journey of faith and fish to prove the impossible, possible.”
McGregor and Blunt pull of the cute couple thing in this trailer but I wonder how the entire movie will play out; a romantic drama or a feel good story? It does look good though. Check it out below:
