Tornado Rider Continues Fall Tour

Tornado Rider continues to take the nation by storm with their Fall tour. According to the Boston Globem the band has “the most innovative folk cellist in America.”

Hailing from the barren burgs of the East Bay Area in California, comes a wild sonic caravan of colorful and talented impresarios, Tornado Rider. Fresh off of recent Van’s Warped Tour dates and an insane tour the first half of this fall that saw the band traveling the United States, the wild and rock-steady fun barons with their high energy songs about dinosaurs, falcons, bison, and golden apples (think Toy Dolls meet AC/DC) will continue to tear through ‘The States’ on an epic tour! You MUST see this band live to believe their incredible energy and unforgettable live show! With singer-cellist Rashad Eggleston at the center of this whirling dervish, Tornado Rider never fails to whip their audiences into a hyper-sonic frenzy. Their live show is part impish magic, part dark carnival, and packed to the brim with raw, fully-realized talent that harnesses the energy of every audience member and turns them into instant converts from the very first note.

Tornado Rider has an amazing and brand new album called Jark Matter out on Silver Sprocket! The band has been relentless touring, and other than their recent Warped Tour stint, are regulars on the American music festival circuit.

Here is what the San Francisco Chronicle had to say about the band:
Tornado Rider stole the show with a brand of music (and theater, really) we should probably call WTF-core (or whatever words describe this). More a cartoon character than a person, lead singer/cello shreddist Rushad Eggleston came onstage as if he had just won some sort of world championship, bouncing from stage left to stage right in striped pink and black spandex, no shirt and a locks of hair hidden underneath an elf hat. Eggleston subjugated a rapt and rapturous pit of an audience with a sound at turns proggy, new-grass, surf-rock, avant-polka, cello-metal, and much more. “
