ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT may come to Netflix/Showtime

After some wonderful news that came through on the Film/Television wire yesterday, we get another dose about ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT today.  It seems that 20th Century Fox has been in some talks with Netflix and cable giant, Showtime, to take on the series.  Showtime’s new entertainment president, David Nevins, had his hand in the production of ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT when he ran Imagine TV which co-produces the show with 20th Century Fox.  Unfortunately he declined providing any comments.

The production is on schedule for an early 2013 release which will provide us with another season as well as a movie.  Great stuff indeed.  The show stars Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, Portia de Rossi, Michael Cera, Tony Hale, Jeffrey Tambor, David Cross, Alia Shawkat and Jessica Walter.  I’m sure they will all pick up with the funny that they left off at.  The original start date was back in 2003 and only ran for 3 seasons.
