First trailer for Spielberg’s WAR HORSE gallops in

The trailer for the Steven Spielberg directed drama War Horse, which is already one of my tips to watch during the awards season later this year, has arrived.

Set during the First World War, the film begins with the friendship between a horse named Joey and a boy called Albert, who tames and trains him. When they are forced apart with the horse needed for battle, the film follows the extraordinary journey of the Joey as he moves through the war, changing and inspiring the lives of all those he meets. However, it’s not long before Albert tries to save him.

It’s based on an award winning play from the National Theatre written by Nick Stafford and the book penned by Michael Morpugo.

It stars a pantheon of British talent including Benedict Cumberbatch, Emily Watson, David Thewlis, Peter Mullan, Tom Hiddleston and Toby Kebbell.
