It was just announced that Kevin Costner has closed a deal to play Jonathan Kent, the adopted father of Clark Kent in the upcoming SUPERMAN. Now that we have the parental units in place, lets move on to finalizing the role of the villain. Viggo Mortensen is reportedly at the top of the list to play the villain, but that is looking less likely because he’s close to signing a deal to star in SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN.

The film is scheduled to arrive in theaters in December 2012. What are your thoughts of this casting news? Who would you like to play the role of the villain?
